At least that seems to be the message from the Mount, that is, Mount Moscow, Idaho, where our intrepid wordmeister, Douglas the Greater, has managed to score a TKO against a prissy lefty while starting another catfight among the Auburn Avenue combatants. At least that is one possible interpretation among many.

Yes, while dancing like a butterfly and stinging like a bee, the Great One has managed to position himself on both sides of his "Stalinist" opponent, while throwing his erstwhile Christian brethren out like Lot's daughters. The fabled Confederate flag that once hung in his office was really a dust cover for a computer keyboard. Poor Joe Morecraft was mistaken in his tattling letter to the local newspaper editor! It is now long gone, but not his portraits of Stonewall Jackson and Jeb Stuart! He throws down the gauntlet!

When our clamoring multiculturalists want me to back away from the facts, I want to do my best imitation of Stonewall at First Manassas. But I feel bad for those fellow Christians, like Joe, and Terry, and Cal, and others, who are willing to retreat from their basic covenant loyalties on the basis of whatever their own petty issues are.

Now there is the man who counseled "owning the curse" at his fiery finest. The man who tap danced like Gregory Hines on speed when debated by one of the local eunuchs about his desire to transform Moscow into the image of Christ Church (which Wilson, of course, denied). So much for the dominion mandate. (The audio of the debate is posted here.)

But, as DW might say, that is ancient history. Just like this, posted a month ago:

Lee's portrait displayed where? Proudly displayed where? What was the context? Did he want us to teach the American Civil War with certain key figures whited out? "And when umphy humphy made the fateful decision to move toward Gettysburg . . ."

Well, Doug isn't so proud of Lee as he is of Stonewall and Jeb. Or are we missing something here? Splitting hairs is Wilson's specialty, as opposed to the courser grindings of the Gris Mill.

I honestly don't know a whole lot about him, but Wikipedia says that he wants to boycott Tommy Hilfiger for incorporating confederate insignia into their clothing lines. And that would be bad, admittedly, were it actually being done. What I would give to have been at the TOMMY board meeting where that decision was made!

Bad for whom? Is Herr Wilson worried that the flag will be demeaned by this, or Tommy Hilfiger?

We frankly admit lacking the "higher mind" required for initiation into the Wilsonian Mysteries. He could tie even ole' Maimonides in knots with some of his reasoning. (And I like the name RaMBaM. Maybe we'll start referring to Douger as DaMWaM.)

At least we're glad that all this isn't a "retreat from ... basic covenant loyalties." To see DaMWaM do that would really be something.

...you better not advertise for a normal Santa Claus, at least if you work for mall operator Hull Storey Retail Group.

The Orangeburg, SC mall manager sent out a flier looking for a jolly ole stand-in for St. Nick:

It identified the basic qualifications as “hygienically clean; preferably Caucasian; jolly — enjoys being with children; natural beard a plus, but not necessary; okay to carry a few extra pounds! We’ll even provide extra milk and cookies as a bonus!”The flier raised the immediate ire of some mall tenants.

Travis Griffin, who has leased a cell phone kiosk at the mall for about a year, said the flier is a “slap in the face” for all African-Americans who both work and shop at the mall. “This has drawn the line,” he said.

The Augusta, Ga.-based mall owner Hull Storey Retail Group received the flier via fax Thursday evening and upon receipt terminated the manager immediately, said John Gibson, Hull Storey president and chief executive officer.

“We called the mall manager and she confirmed to us at that time that she in fact had written this,” Gibson said. “This is completely contrary to our policies, to my personal beliefs and, I would hope, the values of the people in our company.”

It is not exactly clear from the article what the African American kiosk operator was objecting to. "Hygienically clean" certainly smacks of white, Western bias. Preference for someone "jolly" would seem to rub him the wrong way as well, judging from his apparently curmudgeonly disposition. Blacks tend to have skin problems making shaving difficult, and allegedly love women "with big back," so we can rule out the beard and cookies as issues. Unless, of course, there was no consideration given to minority contractor set-asides for the cookie vending.

Judging by the immediate belly crawl of the CEO, he has to be a white man, so we must dig deeper for an explanation. You have to hand it to the company though. How many companies are thorough enough to outline Santa hiring polices in the company manual? The foolish store manager. She should have been paying more attention.

The Sleeping Sheep are Stirring...

... according to the "Fox"man, Abe Foxman of the ADL. ADL's Foxman warns of efforts to 'Christianize America' says the article in Haaretz. The responses are quite interesting, and one from a "Paul" draws the obvious parallel:

All the classic themes of anti-Semitic slurs -- the Jews are trying to take over the world, their ultimate goal is murder and tyranny, they hate us -- are sounded in Foxman`s critique of Christianity, just with the labels changed.

To Foxman`s credit, he at least acknowledges that "Christian extremists" are only interested in politics because they want to defend themselves against the aggression of the secular left, who are trying to turn Christians into second-class citizens by prohibiting them from participating in public life. It`s too bad Foxman`s response to those fears is to prove them true -- by seeking the prohibition of Christian participation in public life!

Of course, the elephant in the living room is this "secular left," isn't it? It is interesting that ole Abe acknowledges the perfectly sensible reasons why Christians are reacting to the advances of his tribe, without trying to refute them. "Don't the dumb goyim know their place!" one can almost hear him yelling at his henchmensch.

It has been so long since any of the "Christian" groups Abe mentions have even imagined holding him or his kinsmen to account for anything, that poor Abe can't imagine having to actually refute them!

Poor dear! Hopefully a good bowl of chicken noodle soup and a couple of gay porn films will make it all better.

No Child Left Behind

The mania among so-called "conservative" Protestant churches to promote inter-racial marriage and adoption should be seen for what it is. A sign of the "mark of the beast" of Revelation.

Doesn't it mention something about no one being able to buy or sell unless they have the mark? Well, when someone in your church marries or adopts a non-white, aren't you expected to accept that person without reserve? It is nothing less than an aggressive act of force.

If you don't like it, you will be "churched" or called before the "elders" for a good arse-chewing, at the very least. You will be the bad guy. You will be the "intolerant" one. You will be the one sowing discord.

You must take the mark. You must accept it, and forever alter the way you act and see the world. It is no different than the sodomite "rights" gambit. They just want to be "equal". But where does it stop? It cannot stop until you have "owned the whole curse" so to speak. You complain about advertisements showing gay couples? How dare you! Complain about queer "PDA"? Hateful bigot. They know the game. It is aggressive.

So now you must accept the non-white as just like your child. Your children must accept them, and never see a difference.

What is the difference here?

Living the Dream

Mike Bradley makes an incisive observation regarding Doug Wilson and his hit and run attacks on Little Geneva and the kinists:

We know what’s driving his crusade against kinism and leading him to come up with these laughable interpretations. He’s between a real rock and a hard place. He dare not concede that kinists are right or that’s probably all she wrote for Wilson Industries.

Spot on, indeed. You see, Wilson is "Living the Dream," which is becoming more of a living nightmare every day. The train is rolling faster and faster down that hill, and there is no way to keep one foot on the platform. You are either on the train, or you have your feet planted on solid ground.

When you cut through all the shouting, there is a simple principle that defines the so-called "Civil Rights" movement. "Regardless of our behavior, you must treat us as equals!" The windy rhetoric aside, this little hole in the levee has led to the nationwide New Orleans unfolding right before our eyes.

The "Dream" is a direct attack on the law, destroying all order and value, in the name of a chimerical "equality" which is nothing less than hell on earth. It is enmity with God.

This is why Wilson and his cronies must juke and jive and prevaricate. One cannot support "The Dream" and the Gospel; no man can serve two masters. The kinists are standing firm, and from this stable platform are putting the flittering flightiness of the Rainbow Reformers in stark contrast.

It is very likely that Doug and company are so deracinated and atomized that they can't see the forest for the trees. Maybe they cannot imagine anything beyond the giant abstraction called "America." Of course, they also know that they can't let anyone get off the merry-go-round, or the fun stops.

Go OJ Go!

The other day we heard a radio talking head describing the recent Frontline program about the OJ Simpson trial. He said it was one of the most interesting programs he had seen in years.

The premise of the show was how the two races saw the whole trial, and why blacks reacted as they did. He said that basically, the cops framed a guilty man, and that all the blacks interviewed, dozens of "scholars" as he called them, as well as TABMITS (The Average Black Man in the Streets to modify an old marketing phrase), believed OJ was guilty, but were just happy that one of their own was finally a beneficiary of the crooked system that whites get around all the time.

He seemed to think blacks were completely justified in this response, and said that the real star of the whole affair was Johnny Cochrane (who may now have a different opinion about the righteousness of getting a murderer off the hook with nothing but hot air than he did while he was walking this earth. But we digress....), who worked the case "brilliantly."

Anyone with a pulse who paid the least bit of attention to the trial ten years ago could see that the prosecution bent over backwards to lose that case. LA's "leaders" didn't want any more riots, so they made sure there weren't any. Only the Republican effort to not impeach Clinton at all costs while appearing to try looked even phonier.

Why else would the prosecution team consist of an incompetent Jewish woman with a male Negro step-and-fetchit sidekick, in front of a largely black and female jury? Only a Doug Wilson essay explaining this strategy in a minimalist literary journal would look more out of place.

And let's don't even go to the low-speed made-for-TV car chase coincidentally in the middle of an NBA finals game that got the whole thing started.

The issue of cops planting evidence is always disturbing, especially as the drive for "hate" crime laws goes into high gear. But once again, the unspoken story speaks loudly.

If most blacks are happy to see our justice system corrupted because "they" got away with it this time, doesn't that prove yet once again that we must go our separate ways?

Preening Madness

Dr. Doug Wilson writes, "And when white racists preen themselves on not having the temptations that another group has, they must be called to repentance." And of course, he is constantly calling the Kinists to repentance.

Perhaps he has diagnosed the reason for the mysterious disappearance of Badonicus, although Bad has confided that his constant fiddling with his toupee is sometimes mistaken for this white racist action.

We surmise that all this preening has led to a virulent case of carpal tunnel syndrome. Either that, or our comrade has encountered some members of the group that "at least tries to kill people (their) own size." I'm sure the good Dr. Wilson will soon write of how to deal with such situations in a future post. For now, let's all try to preen in moderation, and in well lit areas.

Roadkill happens in the middle of the road

Nothing is more tiresome than the preachy self-righteousness of those "conservative" advocates of "Dr." King's "dream", which is daily becoming a waking nightmare.

"Oh, those nasty white 'racists'! Oh those dasterdly liberal 'racists'! Why must we be made to suffer such deviationism from our true and noble path down the middle of the road!"

Of course these two "extremes" must be handled differently. White "racists" must be shouted down, not allowed to speak, marginalized at all costs. Liberal "racists" must be shown their "racist" attitudes with patient, cold logic, carefully worded so that the middle-of-the-roadsters can never be mistaken for white "racists".

It is a tough, thankless job, but somebody has to do it. Right? Yea, right.

Unfortunately, such unbending devotion to maintaining respectability while tossing a few stones (carefully, so as not to really hurt anyone) at the left is not a benign strategy. It may suceed in keeping the uncertain trumpeters well fed and their books bought if not read, but it has deadly consequences for us all.

While keeping up a level of hissing worthy of a Purim festival at the local synagogue, these MOR's manage to keep white "racists" from being heard. Consider a few positions that might be discussed in a free and civilized debate, but are never allowed a moment's consideration:

The views of those who might truly desire a "multi-cultural" (whatever that means) and racially mixed society, but believe that it cannot work, and are realistic about it, just as one might realize that a middle class income doesn't allow for a home on the Riviera, or provide chances to rub shoulders with the Pope or woo "supermodels".

The view that such an experiment as permanent and irreversible as race-mixing our whole society should not be taken without a guaranteed outcome that we know will be desirable. Given the abject failure of every type of program of this type of much lesser consequence, this seems sound enough.

Regardless of whether the great browning is good or bad, why should whites accept the openly malicious spirit behind it? Shouldn't we deal with that before going any further?

Shouldn't supposedly Christian leaders be able to make clear the individualistic and materialistic assumptions behind all these agendas, regardless of the "bad press" they might receive?

Shouldn't anyone who proposes that we limit immigration to "Christians" regardless of race be required to provide a practical blueprint of just how that is to be achieved?

No, these heroic "colorblind conservatives" are too high on their hobby horses to be bothered with such questions. They are too busy making the world safe for "democracy" (a purely materialist and scientistic conception) to be bothered with such trivial tasks.

For those that follow these Quixotic champions of the middle-of-the-road, just remember where roadkill happens. Especially with the FEMA trucks coming to a neighborhood near you - soon.

I'm sure P.andy Sandlin and the Dougers are shortening their sermons this evening so their fans can be home in time to catch the Fox TV comedy series, The War at Home. Here is Fox TV's description of tonight's episode:

Vicky invites Taye’s family over for a barbecue, but Dave doesn’t get along with Taye’s father, Omar, who’s a wealthy, well-educated, African-American surgeon, and Dave ends up offending him with what are perceived as racist comments. At Vicky’s insistence, Dave apologizes to Omar and has a great day at Omar’s exclusive country club, only to find out when he gets home that Hillary and Taye’s relationship is on the rocks. Meanwhile, Mike is worried when blisters appear on his penis and Dave’s remedy for what is determined to be chronic masturbation only makes things worse on the “Guess Who’s Coming to the Barbecue” episode of THE WAR AT HOME Sunday, Oct. 2

Apparently, Dave cooks up a slab of ribs for the genius doctor's family, then passes out copies of the Color of Crime while sending the wife out for more Colt 45. The ensuing frank discussion about differential rates of syphillis among blacks and whites makes for one of the season's most riveting scenes... well, maybe a slight exageration, but he did cook the ribs.

Guess the relevant culture reclaimers can celebrate another victory. We at the Gris Mill wouldn't wish upon them what they demand for all of us - yet who will be made to be the bad guys?

Human Events should be darn proud!

Human Events is a boring, respectable conservative newsrag whose owners attempt to serve two masters, an impossibility, as our Lord told us. They fired managing editor Kevin Lamb at the behest of the Southern Poverty Law Center, jumping before asking how high when the Dees gang sniffed their way.

This is the same SPLC that attacked James Dobson, the Mr. Rogers of Christian radio. Think that is just an isolated incident?

For sixteen years atheist Philip Paulson claiming he wants to maintain neutrality between government and religion, has been waging an unrelenting war against the Mt. Soledad Cross that is the centerpiece of the historic Veterans Memorial in San Diego. However, Paulson’s comments on the website of the Atheist Coalition of San Diego reveals his true motivation is hatred for Christianity.
Paulson goes so far as to state; “We need to attack Jesus…” Those comments, followed by vulgar remarks about Christ, God and the Virgin Mary are so crude and offensive that the Thomas More Law Center will not repeat them. However, Richard Thompson, President of the Law Center commented, “These remarks show the plaintiff to be nothing more than a foul-mouthed anti-Christian whose agenda is not to defend the Constitution, but to attack Christianity.”

And who, might you ask, has represented him pro bono for almost 8 years? From the same article:

Paulson’s attorney James McElroy..., who is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Southern Poverty Law Center based in Alabama....

As Paulson writes,

On May 21, 1998, I met with James McElroy, who agreed to offer pro bono legal services in representing me at the US District Court Level. McElroy is skilled in legal matters of discovery, particularly examining the testimony of witnesses in Depositions. McElroy was assigned to subpoena City of San Diego Officials to explain the City's entanglement with the religious symbol currently standing on Mt. Soledad Public Park. His mission is to seek the removal of the "Easter Cross" from the Mt. Soledad Public Park.

OK, so there are matters of Law involved, but what does removing a cross from a city park in California have to do with "Southern Poverty"?

But the real question is, how can a Christian support any enterprise that uses the Southern Poverty Law Center as a resource? Or make cause with them in any way?

His own Private Idaho

Poor Doug Wilson has been taking his lumps in the fever swamps of Kinist bloggers. Seems the sucka can't catch an even break. You see it is tough living in a place called Moscow, Idaho. Its namesake is tough to live up to.

Not that he hasn't tried. His partner in crime, Douglas Jones III, wrote the Stalinist classic, The Biblical Offense of Racism, which apparently put him on Wilson's radar screen. The party line has changed on slavery, so time for a new book. I hope DW doesn't plan a book signing tour in Ireland or parts of Chicago, for his own good.

The bigger problem is that Moscow, Idaho, is a college town. Colleges are the last refuge of true believer communists, and in the protective bubble of taxpayer subsidized academia, all are free to pursue the alternative lifestyle of their choice, free from the faintest hint of moralism of a religious stripe.

Therein lies the rub. Wilson is a Reformed pastor, and has a following that expects a modest degree of rationality, hence the need to face certain realities about America that aren't sympatico with the moral deviancies that are the toast of campus life. But, as William Buckley figured out quiet early in his career, the lefties run the yacht club, so you had better be nice to them. In a town named Moscow, you don't want to be the first to stop clapping for comrade Stalin, so to speak.

A modicum of honesty requires that one acknowledge the South as being in the right with regards to the Late Unpleasantness. A simpleton can see that. But the average person who has never set foot in the South while enjoying a public education and everything Hollywood can throw at him cannot fathom that the South even has an argument. You might as well tell him that pigs can fly. Unless you have lived in one of these nether regions, it is hard to grasp the complete disdain for the South that is found in such places. Not that they spend a lot of time thinking about it. Not that they are even concious of it. Imagine your boss telling you that you will be transferred to Ecuador. Your first thought would be, "ECUADOR! Are you kidding me?"

So imagine being Reformed enough to see the principles involved, in an uppity little college town in a backwater state known for potatoes, where everyone is dying to move to a Big Ten school, much less the Ivy League, and you have a recipe for, well, Doug Wilson.

A Cold Blast of Reality

The Political Cesspool broadcasts this week with Jared Taylor and Harry Seabrook as guests are must-listens. Fill-in Bill Rolen along with regular co host James Edwards put together two riveting programs. It created in real life, but inversely, the effect that that miserable movie of a few years back attempted and failed at so miserably. You know, the one where all the boring honkies live in a black and white world, until they are introduced to people of color and their behaviors - sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll, which immediately turns them into techni-color hipsters.

What the Political Cesspool broadcasts did was to put in sharp contrast the utter banality of what passes for political discourse in the “most advanced country in the history of the world.” It was so refreshing to hear adults talking like adults about substantive issues, that it almost seemed surreal.

The interview with Brandy Stokes, the white school teacher viciously assaulted by a Negro student after months of threats and verbal abuse went unheeded by her principal, and who was unceremoniously fired upon returning to work after recovering from her injuries might seem incredible to the average PCA member. But that is only because public disclosure of what passes for normal behavior in the mini-Superdomes known as public schools in black areas of the country is strictly verboten. A friend of mine who taught in a black high school in Atlanta three decades ago told me that nothing short of murder is reported from those schools, and that rapes are commonplace.

He also made the point, which very likely applies to this unfortunate woman, that most kids may be twenty years old or more before they come to realize that every adult they have ever known has lied to them. Lied to them about the very things that Mrs. Stokes learned about firsthand. We are talking every adult. Their ministers, their Sunday School teachers, their parents, every single one of them.

Think about that while you are jotting down epithets about Harry Seabrook that will impress all your friends.

Well, we're late to the party, but not too late to join in the fun. Little Geneva has turned at least a couple of little worlds upside down, and Badlands has rattled a few monkey cages as well. The talk over the White Picket Fence is straight with no chaser, and the Barn Cat has made life a little less cozy for some rather large rodents. The smoke signals at Paleface portend a kindling so longed for.

Hanging Chads may become a delusional fantasy of the two headed snake we call "democracy." The "long-haired men and short-haired women" shall flee when no man pursueth, as our Mrs. Blessed trees them between sips of tea. And they shall be gathered in the Political Cesspool before being hung out to dry for good.

We at the Gris Mill are just happy for the little task we have become so accustomed to, sweeping up the little bits that fall on the floor, and tossing them out to the chickens.
